The CertiPUR-US® seal enables you to make an informed choice about the foam in the products you choose to purchase. When you see the CertiPUR-US® seal you know the foam is examined and put through a series of scientific tests to be sure it meets the strict voluntary standards of the CertiPUR-US® program. The tests, conducted by independent, accredited testing laboratories, evaluate foam content and important durability factors. CertiPUR-US® approved foams are:
- Low Emission (VOCs) for indoor air quality
- Made without ozone depleters
- Made without PBDE flame retardants
- Made without mercury, lead and heavy metals
- Made without formaldehyde
- Made without prohibited pthalates
- Durability/Content/Emissions tested
- Performance tested and environmentally innovative
Our Environmentally Friendly production process assists in keeping ozone depleting Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) from entering the atmosphere. We use a closed chamber process that filters out most VOC's.
Reduced Carbon Footprint
To reduce our carbon footprint we compress our beds prior to shipping. This provides great convenience for delivery and set-up but it also helps your bed retain proper consistent feel across all surfaces for the life of your bed. By pre-setting the foam it will keep your body weight from creating an impression or changing the firmness of the foam over time. Also the T- structure oval channels allow the foam to bend and move. The pressure gets absorbed by the calibrators, thus keeping the foam from breaking down and extending the life of the bed way beyond an ordinary foam mattress.
Reduced Landfill Waste
By using water for support instead of steel coils like a traditional mattress izone does not negatively impact the environment and add to the landfills. Water and foam are compressible to a fraction of their original size and can be recycled into many other useful materials.
